The AI Center of Excellence will form the point of aggregation for AI-related expertise, resources and capabilities for the purpose of creating AI-enabled solutions for commercial and public sector customers, incubating AI start-ups, and facilitating R&D opportunities for research organizations. It will compliment and strengthen Regional industry hubs, including video gaming, nanotechnology, and life sciences.
The AI Center — the first of its kind in the Northeast — will have a suite of spaces to host educational activities, conferences and events, and showcase AI capabilities to the public. The Center will also sponsor a range of educational outreach programs designed to elevate the Capital District to becoming the most AI literate community in the world. The AI Center of Excellence is being designed to perpetuate AI literacy and learning across all demographics segments.
